This novel is a description of a nearly sixty years old, alone in fishing, caught a big fish, but can not draw. The old fisherman and fish deal after several days, they find it is a big Malin fish over several times their own boats, while knowing that it is difficult to win, does not give up yet.

　　初看《老人与海鸥》这个题目时，我不由得疑惑起来。初看题目就知道是写人与动物之间的联系，可人和动物之间，除了搏杀，还有什么呢?可当我看到里面的内容时，却改变了想法。

　　文章中说了一位老人与一群海鸥之间的情谊。老人每天步行二十余里，用那点微薄的工资给海鸥买饼干，却舍不得为自己花一点钱。他将海鸥当成了自己的亲人、自己的儿女，给他们一一取了名字。而在老人去世后，海鸥又为他祭奠。他们演出了一部超越界限的友情，展现了人和动物之间相依相随的情感。

　　读完后，我又联想到了我们的生活。在我们的生活中，像老人那样的人有几个呢?大多数都乱捕杀着动物，一味贪婪的索取。往日我看到这种故事只觉得没什么，而今天我却有了一种羞耻感。为什么要残害动物呢?不就是想得到钱吗?让人既觉得可笑，又觉得可悲。而动物们，也一定会觉得既无奈又无助。我多么希望每个人都能像老人一样，尽管没有什么太多的金钱，但却愿意尽自己的力量为世界的和谐做一些什么。只要付出努力，有什么做不到的呢?
